PU Injection Waterproofing

PU injection is a targeted waterproofing method used to stop water leakage through cracks or joints in concrete structures. It is commonly applied when leaks originate from specific entry points rather than large surface areas.

What is PU Injection

PU injection involves injecting a liquid polyurethane material into cracks or joints within concrete. The material reacts and expands inside the crack, sealing the water path and helping to stop further water ingress.
WHY CHOOSE ARCHTECH PU INJECTION

Key Benefits of PU Injection

A targeted method designed to seal water ingress paths within cracks or joints, where leakage is localised rather than spread across large surfaces

Targets specific leak points rather than large surfaces

Expands within cracks to seal water paths

Suitable for active or recurring leak points

Designed to stop water leakage from cracks or joints

Resistant to punctures and surface damage when properly installed

Can be carried out with minimal surface disruption

PROCESS

PU Injection Application Method

The process focuses on accessing the leakage path and injecting PU material in a controlled way so it can expand within cracks and help seal water movement.

Step One

Surface Preparation & Injection Points Drilling

Any standing water is removed, and the affected area is cleaned and prepared to allow proper access to the leakage points and effective material performance.

Then, injection points are carefully drilled along the identified crack or joint to access the internal water ingress paths within the concrete.

Step Two

Packer Installation & PU Injection

Injection packers are installed into the drilled points to help guide the PU material into the cracks and allow controlled injection.

Then, PU material is injected under controlled pressure so that it flows along the leakage paths. The material reacts with moisture, expands within the cracks and internal gaps, and forms a seal to help stop further water ingress.

Step Three

Remove Packers & Seal Surface

After the resin cures, the packers are removed and both drilled holes and exposed cracks are filled and sealed with grout or patching material.

The surface is cleaned and restored, ready for inspection or any finishing work like painting or tiling.
