Waterproofing for The Mines Resort City Flat Roof

To ensure long-term protection against water ingress, Mr Krishna engaged ARCHTECH to carry out waterproofing works for the flat roof at The Mines Resort City. The project involved a uniquely designed roof with curved edges, varying levels, and multiple service penetrations, requiring a waterproofing solution that could adapt seamlessly to the building’s architectural form.

Waterproofing Works for Complex Roof Geometry

ARCHTECH implemented torch-on membrane waterproofing over a 2,272 sqft flat roof area, carefully addressing the challenges posed by the curved and irregular roof layout. Special attention was given to detailing around rounded upturns, corners, water tank bases, and drainage points to ensure continuous membrane coverage without weak joints. Precise installation techniques were applied to achieve strong adhesion and a smooth finish across both flat and curved surfaces.

Project Completion & Results

Despite the challenging roof geometry, the waterproofing works were completed successfully with a seamless and uniform membrane system. The roof is now fully protected against rainwater penetration, even in areas prone to water ponding. The installed torch-on membrane provides durable, long-lasting protection while preserving the architectural integrity of the curved roof design.
